According to Hindu Calendar, this Chauth falls on the fourth day of the full moon in the month of Bhaadva. Generally teej and chauth comes together but this year they are not on the same day. It varies in every 3 - 4 years.
This Chauth is done only by the married women. On this day women observe fast for the whole day and breaks fast only after moon rise.
They do Ganeshji and Laxmiji's Puja and then read Vrat Katha. They need to read Bhaadva Chauth Vrat Katha accompanied with a Ganeshji's Vrat Katha, Chiek Mata's Vrat Katha and a Lapsy Tapsy's kahani.
